Lecture by lawyer Jana Mikušová on copyright contracts will explain how creators can protect their rights and work with contracts safely and professionally. Participants will gain an overview of what a filmmaker’s contract should include, how economic rights, licenses, fees, and the use of works in further distribution function. The lecture will also offer practical advice, highlight the most common mistakes in practice, and provide recommendations on how to prevent disputes in film production. JUDr. Jana Mikušová’s lecture received many positive responses during the KAMERA 2025 event, which is why the Association of Slovak Cinematographers decided to continue this topic during BID 2026 and expand the presentation with new experiences and insights that will help cinematographers as well as other film professionals.
