On January 5, 1895, Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a young promising officer, is tried for spying for Germany and sentenced to life imprisonment on Devil’s Island. Witnesses to his humiliation include Georges Picquart, who had been promoted to head the military counter-intelligence unit that found Dreyfus. But when Picquart discovers that secrets are still being leaked to the Germans, he enters a dangerous labyrinth of deceit and corruption that threatens his honour and life.
