Seven-year-old Romy lives in the city centre.. One day she finds her parakeet’s cage empty. The window is open, Mimi has flown away. Romy ignores her mum’s protestations and looks for the escapee bird in the forest by the big river. She gets deeper and deeper into the dense undergrowth, coming across various people among the trees who are also seeking something. Will Romy find her little bird in this green labyrinth?
