A perfect couple rents a holiday home on a sunny Italian island. Yet reality falls short of their expectations when they discover that the pool is out of order. Blindly unaware that the island faces a water shortage, they call a handyman to fix it. The lingering presence of a stranger invades the couple’s sense of security, and initiates a chain of events that leads them to act instinctively and irrationally towards their relationship’s darkest place. The film premiered at the prestigious Toronto film festival.
