The film starts with five mullet-rocking losers being fired from their jobs. They blame it on the financial crisis, but macroeconomics is clearly not to blame. They spend all their employment benefits on cigarettes and petrol. After the authorities refuse to send them more money, they decide to never pay for anything again... The film is based on a TV series which developed such a cult following that the film had a record breaking run in local cinemas, making it a Top 20 all-time favourite Dutch movie.
