Thirty-year-old Ilie is a cop in the Romanian border area with Moldova. Too young to have a decent career and salary, he’s also too old for ideals. In a region forsaken by God and the authorities, he seeks some land with an orchard for peace and quiet. But his plans are thwarted by a murder and a series of violent events. All clues lead to smugglers and the jovial mayor. The plot in the village thickens, and Ilie must decide whether to stand up for the victims and investigate the crimes, or choose a peaceful life for himself and the local oligarchs.
