Peter Loew, a successful Manhattan literary agent, becomes convinced after an encounter with a mysterious woman that he is turning into a vampire. A night of passion triggers a series of hallucinations, paranoia, and self-destructive behavior that gradually dismantle both his professional and personal life. Director Robert Bierman blends elements of horror, psychological thriller, and dark comedy, creating a film that, thanks to Nicolas Cage’s eccentric performance, has become a cult classic of the 1980s.
